Here are five football tips Will Rook thinks you should consider for Aston Villa v Liverpool on Tuesday night.

Aston Villa (-1) to win {ODDS:506429226:3/4}

Aston Villa will be lining up against a team of Liverpool’s kids, given that the senior squad and first-team manager are currently in Qatar at the Club World Cup.

It’s hard to see anything other than a comfortable victory for Villa’s senior team in those circumstances.

Both teams to score {ODDS:506428660:13/20}

Liverpool’s youngsters aren’t completely hopeless – four of the squad travelling to Villa Park played 120 minutes in the 5-5 draw with Arsenal, while a further five were on the bench.

Given that their hosts have conceded two or more goals in six of their last seven matches in all competitions, this looks a fair bet.

Jota to score {ODDS:513092279:13/8}

Jota returned to fitness in Aston Villa’s 2-1 defeat to Chelsea earlier this month after six weeks out and should feature here.

The Spaniard scored against Brighton in the EFL Cup third round and, given the standard of opposition on Tuesday, should be fancied to bag another.

Harvey Elliott to score

Elliott has impressed in both of his senior appearances in the EFL Cup this season and hit the bar away to MK Dons in round three.

With Rhian Brewster a doubt through injury, the 16-year-old is likely to be one of Liverpool’s main goal threats.

A goal to be scored in the first 15 minutes {ODDS:506428871:7/5}

Aston Villa scored after just four minutes in their 6-1 victory away to Crewe in the first round.

At home to similarly inferior opposition, they should be quick to get off the mark again.
