Thursday international football tips: Best bets for Nations League matches

Check out our Thursday football tips featuring the best football betting tips, value selections and free football predictions from today's matches.

The third round of this international break’s Nations League matches kick off on Thursday, with more high-profile games to enjoy.

Portugal go to Denmark and Greece host the Netherlands in League A, while Republic of Ireland and Wales are also in action.

We pick out four selections in our football betting acca, including a selection from each of those games.

Here are our football betting Tips, making a 17/1 total bet.

Denmark v Portugal tips

Portugal have made an encouraging start to the Jorge Jesus era, backing up a 1-0 win over Wales with an impressive 2-1 victory away to Norway.

Jesus even left Cristiano Ronaldo unused on the bench for the Norway victory, and how much the 41-year-old is used here will be fascinating to see.

Either way, they are a good bet to beat Denmark, who lost in Norway a few days earlier before beating a poor Wales side 2-0.

This doesn’t feel like a golden era for the Danes and they are a good bet to lose here at / .

Greece v Netherlands tips

Greece are one of the stories of this international break so far, securing back-to-back away wins against Serbia and Germany.

This is a hugely promising generation of young Greek footballers, including Arsenal’s Christian Tzolis and Vangelis Pavlidis of Benfica, who will fancy their chances against the Netherlands.

The Dutch have done OK under Xavi so far, scrambling a late draw at home to Germany and winning in Serbia, but this is a tougher test.

Backing Greece in the draw no bet market makes most sense at / .

Republic of Ireland v Austria tips

Republic of Ireland played well in their controversial game against Israel on Sunday, winning 3-0.

Ireland have now scored in eight of their last 10 games and always have a chance with Troy Parrott leading the line.

Austria have won both of their games during this window 3-1, with at least one team scoring three goals in four of their last six.

Both teams to score seems an obvious play here at / .

Wales v Norway tips

Norway have backed up their excellent World Cup performance with a decent start to the Nations League, beating Denmark 3-2 before losing a narrow game to Portugal 2-1.

They have to be considered big favourites to beat Wales, who are winless in six and don’t feel like a happy camp under Craig Bellamy.

Having seen BTTS land in five of their last seven matches, though, we should also back Bellamy’s side to score.

There have also been goals at both ends in their last five home outings, so Norway to win & BTTS makes sense at / .
