EFL football tips for Tuesday 22 10 19

Had you placed a £10 stake on Will Rook’s Saturday football betting tips for the 2019/20 season, your profit would be £450.

West Brom to beat Barnsley

League leaders West Brom earned their fourth victory in five matches as they beat Middlesbrough 1-0 at The Riverside on Saturday.

The Baggies have lost just one of their 12 league games so far, playing well in a 1-0 defeat away to second-placed Leeds.

Barnsley came from behind to claim a 1-1 draw at home to third-placed Swansea on Saturday, but they remain bottom of the league and winless in 12.

Doncaster to beat Southend

Second-bottom Southend suffered yet another disappointment as they conceded a late penalty to draw 1-1 with Tranmere last weekend.

The Shrimpers, who have been without a manager for eight games, have lost five out of six matches at Roots Hall this season and earned just five points.

Doncaster ended a run of three straight defeats with a 2-0 victory over Bristol Rovers on Saturday and won’t get an easier chance to earn back-to-back victories.

Wycombe to beat Blackpool

Second-placed Wycombe beat Sunderland 1-0 at Adams Park on Saturday, so you shouldn’t be afraid of their long price.

The Chairboys have only dropped two points in their last four matches and have lost just one of their 13 league games this season.

They could go top with a victory at Blackpool, who have lost back-to-back matches and won two in eight.

Bradford to beat Port Vale

Bradford are second in League Two after winning their last three matches, and all of their last four at Valley Parade.

The Bantams have the second-best home record in the division, taking 16 points from seven matches, and should be helped by the return of winger Dylan Connolly.

Port Vale are one of three sides yet to win on the road this season, losing four and drawing three of their seven games.

Cheltenham to beat Macclesfield

Cheltenham made it eight games without defeat in all competitions as they beat Walsall 2-1 away from home on Saturday.

Michael Duff’s side have won four and drawn two of their six league games at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium.

Macclesfield won 1-0 at fourth-bottom Oldham last weekend, but that was their first away win in six.
