Don't Speculate: 5 EFL football tips for Saturday's matches
From 4pm on Friday, we will be boosting the price of these Championship football tips.
Had you placed a £10 stake on Will Rook's EFL football betting tips for the 2018/19 season, your profit would be:
Birmingham to beat Hull
It’s difficult to see Hull creating enough to get anything from this, despite back-to-back 1-0 victories.
The Tigers have managed the fourth-fewest shots on goal in the Championship and haven’t had more than three efforts on target in any of their last three matches.
They have lost five of their last six away games and Birmingham, who are unbeaten at home and have won three on the spin at St Andrews, should take the points.
Blackburn to beat Rotherham
Rotherham needed two late penalties to claim their first win in nine league games against Swansea last week.
The Millers are still winless on the road this season, earning just two points in their eight league away matches this season.
Blackburn beat QPR 1-0 at Ewood Park last weekend, ending their visitors’ three-game winning streak, and have lost just one of their nine home games in all competitions so far.
Swansea to beat Bolton
Bolton have scored just 11 league goals this season – the fewest in the division – and have, on average, just 2.8 shots on target per game – the second-fewest in the league.
The toothless Trotters have lost five of their last six matches to nil and scored just two goals in nine matches, so it is difficult to see them fashioning enough chances to stay in this one.
Swansea surrendered a one-goal lead to lose at Rotherham after two individual errors last weekend, but had won back-to-back games prior to that and will likely need to score just once to win on Saturday.
Middlesbrough to beat Wigan
Wigan lost their fourth league game in five last weekend as they were beaten 2-1 at home to Leeds.
It is unlikely to get any better for them on the road, judging by the fact they have lost seven of their eight league away games this season.
Middlesbrough have lost just two league games all season and have conceded eight goals – fewer than any other side – so should be able to get the better of a team that can’t stop losing.
Norwich to beat Millwall
Millwall’s travelling record is the equal-worst in the Championship.
Neil Harris’ side lost 2-0 at Brentford last weekend and have picked up just two points away from the Den this season.
Norwich hammered Sheffield Wednesday 4-0 at Hillsborough in their last match and are top of the form table, having won eight of their last 10 matches.
