Will Rook is back with his best football tips for Saturday’s three o’clock kick-offs in the Premier League.
Rangers to beat Motherwell (12:15)
Rangers extended their unbeaten record under new manager Steven Gerrard to 10 matches with a victory over Russian side Ufa in the Europa League play-off round on Thursday.
That 1-0 win was the Gers’ fourth victory in five games, and they should notch another on Sunday.
Motherwell are bottom of the Scottish Premiership table, having lost both of their league games so far, and are yet to score a goal.
AZ Alkmaar to beat Vitesse (15:45)
AZ Alkmaar are the early Eredivisie leaders after winning both of their opening matches by an aggregate score of 9-1.
Their 5-0 victory over NAC Breda on the opening day was their 10th win in 14 league games at the AFAS Stadion, and third consecutive home game where they have scored four or more goals.
The hosts beat Vitesse 4-3 when the two sides last met in April and should win again this time.
Monaco to beat Bordeaux (16:00)
Bordeaux were beaten 2-1 by Toulouse last weekend and are bottom of the Ligue 1 table having lost two from two.
The hosts are still without a manager after the sacking of Gus Poyet last week, after which the players initially refused to train in protest.
Monaco won 3-1 at Nantes in their only away game of the season, and have lost just two of their last 25 matches in Ligue 1.
Braga to beat Desportivo Aves (20:30)
Braga’s 4-2 win over Nacional a fortnight ago was their seventh league victory in eight home matches.
The hosts have only been beaten at home by Benfica in their last 16 league games, 14 of which have ended in victory.
Aves have lost five of their last six away games in the Primeira Liga and will surely be beaten again.
Real Madrid to beat Girona (21:15)
Real Madrid began their La Liga campaign with a 2-0 win at home to Getafe last weekend and should make it two from two on Sunday.
The hosts have lost just one of their last 16 league games and hammered Girona 6-3 when the two sides last met in March.
Girona were held to a 0-0 draw against promoted side Valladolid last time out and have managed just two victories in their last 11 La Liga matches.
They have conceded four or more on three separate occasions during that run.
