Champions League acca: A 9/1 four-fold for Wednesday
Champions League Wednesday tips

There are four more Champions League round of 16 first leg matches to be played on Wednesday with three Premier League teams involved.

The Champions League round of 16 continues on Wednesday night with four more first-leg ties, including a Bernabeu blockbuster between Real Madrid and Manchester City.

City aren’t the only Premier League club in action on the night. Chelsea make the daunting trip across the Channel to take on reigning European champions PSG and Arsenal, taking aim at a quadruple this season, face Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen.

We have a Wednesday night Champions League acca which pays at 9/1.

Wednesday Champions League accumulator tips

  • Arsenal to win & under 3.5 goals @ 5/4
  • Bodo/Glimt draw no bet @ 17/20
  • Over 2.5 goals in PSG vs Chelsea @ 3/5
  • Both teams to score in Real Madrid v Manchester City @ 11/20

Acca pays at 9/1

Gunners can eke out first-leg advantage

Arsenal are favourites for all four competitions they are currently in and the Gunners can take another step on the road to the Champions League final with victory in Germany on Wednesday.

Mikel Arteta’s men have a favourable path through the knockout bracket after topping the league-phase standings with a perfect eight wins from eight, and they can take a step towards sealing a quarter-final berth at the BayArena.

They’ve been efficient rather than spectacular in recent weeks, though, so a bet on the Gunners winning a game containing no more than four goals looks the way to go.

Leg 1: Arsenal to win & under 3.5 goals @ 5/4

Glimt may keep on defying the odds

Bodo/Glimt’s Champions League adventure has been one of the stories of the season and the Norwegians may not be done with yet.

Glimt, who play Portuguese powerhouses Sporting CP in the last 16, beat Manchester City and Atletico Madrid in the league phase before winning both legs of their play-off tie against Serie A leaders Inter Milan to triumph 5-2 on aggregate.

Their plastic pitch in the Arctic Circle gives them a great chance of taking a first-leg lead back to Lisbon.

Leg 2: Bodo/Glimt draw no bet @ 17/20

Reigning champions coming to the boil

For the second season in succession, PSG needed to take in the knockout play-off round to qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League, but it would be unwise to read too much into that.

Luis Enrique’s men were head and shoulders above every other team in Europe in the final few months of the 2024-25 campaign, culminating in a 5-0 rout of Inter in last season’s Champions League final.

In-form Chelsea should put up more resistance and Blues boss Liam Rosenior will know more about PSG than most from his time in charge of Strasbourg.

The Londoners have looked particularly slick in attack since Rosenior arrived at Stamford Bridge and they should contribute to an entertaining first leg in Paris.

Chelsea scored four times at Aston Villa last midweek while PSG were beaten 3-1 by Monaco in Ligue 1 on Friday. The same opponents also scored four times against the Parisians across two legs in the play-off round of this competition.

Leg 3: Over 2.5 goals in PSG vs Chelsea @ 3/5

Another Real v City thriller on the cards

Real Madrid and Manchester City have been drawn against each other in the knockout rounds of the Champions League for the fifth season in a row, and looking at what has gone before should be the best guide for Wednesday’s first leg.

Both teams have scored in seven of the pair’s eight knockout meetings in the last four seasons while City were 2-1 winners at the Bernabeu in this term’s league phase.

Given the ludicrous attacking strength on show in the Spanish capital, football fans could be in for another treat.

Leg 4: Both teams to score in Real Madrid v Manchester City @ 11/20
