Will Rook provides his football tips from Tuesday’s action in the Champions League, Championship, League One and League Two.
Ivan Toney (Brentford) to score v Swansea (19:00)
This feels like a generous price for a striker who has netted nine goals in his last seven appearances.
Toney has only failed to hit the back of the net once during that run and is the equal-top scorer in the Championship.
Brentford haven’t drawn a blank in any of their last 11 matches in all competitions, while Toney averages more shots per game than any other player in the squad.
Peterborough to beat Bristol Rovers (19:00)
Peterborough went top of League One on goal difference on Saturday after battering Shrewsbury 5-1.
Posh have won seven and drawn one of their last eight matches in all competitions.
Bristol Rovers were held to a 1-1 draw away to Rochdale at the weekend and have won one of their last four.
MK Dons to beat Northampton (19:00)
Northampton scraped past Wigan on Saturday with a 3-2 victory, despite their opposition fielding five academy graduates in the starting XI.
The Cobblers had lost six of their previous seven league matches prior to that.
MK Dons have taken four points from their last two games and are improving after a tough start to the season.
Newport to beat Carlisle (19:00)
Newport went five points clear at the top of League Two on Saturday after beating in-form Harrogate 2-1 at home.
That was a fifth straight league win for Michael Flynn’s side, who have only dropped five points in 10 matches.
Carlisle have won one of their last four and lost 1-0 at Exeter on Saturday.
BTTS & over 2.5 goals in Atalanta v Liverpool (20:00)
Atalanta beat Crotone 2-1 in Serie A on Saturday, meaning there have been three or more goals scored in all eight of their matches this season.
Gian Piero Gasperini’s side drew 2-2 at home to Ajax on Matchday 2, having beaten Midtjylland 4-0 in their opener.
This bet has landed in seven of Liverpool’s last 11 in all competitions following their 2-1 victory over West Ham over the weekend.
