Sunday Betting Guide: Our writers' 5 best football tips
We've compiled our best football tips, including win/draw/win and BTTS, into one bite-size betting preview for Sunday's matches.
Manchester City to beat Manchester United & under 4.5 goals (14:00)
Under 4.5 goals has landed in 10 of the last 11 Manchester derbies, with City winning six of those games.
Three of City’s five league wins this season have featured four goals or fewer, and this version of United is capable of keeping things competitive.
Erik Ten Hag’s side have kept three consecutive away clean sheets, with under 4.5 goals landing in all eight of their matches so far.
BTTS & over 2.5 goals in Sassuolo v Salernitana (14:00)
Salernitana have the fifth-best xG and fourth-worst xG against in Serie A, so their games are very likely to feature lots of goals.
That is reflected in BTTS landing in their last four matches, including two 2-2 draws.
Sassuolo lost 3-1 to Udinese last time out at home.
Ajaccio to win or draw v Clermont Foot & under 2.5 goals (14:00)
The two teams with the lowest xG figures in Ligue 1 are unlikely to serve up a classic.
Under 2.5 goals has landed in all of Ajaccio’s last four games, while Clermont Foot have scored one goal in their last three away games.
The visitors’ away record means that we’ll give the edge to the hosts in the double chance market.
Atalanta to beat Fiorentina & under 4.5 goals (17:00)
Atalanta are second in Serie A after winning five and drawing two of their seven league games, all of which have featured under 4.5 goals.
That run includes a 1-0 win at Roma last time out, with Sunday’s hosts boasting the best defensive record in the league so far.
Fiorentina don’t concede many either, but are struggling in attack enough to think that they will be edged out in a low-scoring game.
Juventus to beat Bologna & under 4.5 goals (19:45)
Juventus are in bad nick, but after pledging support to manager Max Allegri during the international break, are likely to dig out some results in the next few weeks.
Despite going five without a win overall, Juve have won two of their four league home matches, with one of the failures coming against Roma.
Bologna have taken just one point from three away matches so far this season.
