Saturday Betting Guide: Our writers’ best football tips 21 05 22

Adam Drury provides his football tips for Saturday’s matches.

BTTS & over 2.5 goals in Lazio v Hellas Verona (19:45)

This bet has landed in five of Lazio’s last seven games.

They take on Verona, who have scored at least once in 15 of their last 17 matches, with the last two finishing 2-1.

The reverse fixture between these sides finished 4-1 to Verona in October.

Juventus draw no bet v Fiorentina (19:45)

Fiorentina are so short here because Europa League qualification is on the line, but that gives us a good opportunity to back Juventus at a good price.

Max Allegri’s side are objectively a better team than their hosts, losing just two of their last 23 league games and winning 14.

Fiorentina have lost five of their last six matches.

Over 3.5 goals in Clermont Foot v Lyon (20:00)

Neither of these sides have anything to play for so we can expect a classic end-of-season shoot-out on Saturday.

Clermont Foot have scored seven goals in their last four home games, with over 3.5 goals landing in three of those matches.

Lyon have seen over 3.5 goals land in four of their last six, with their last two matches finishing 3-2.

Nantes draw no bet v St Etienne (20:00)

Like Fiorentina, St Etienne are priced up very short because they have something to play for, but are up against superior opposition.

Nantes have been strong at home this season, winning 10 of their last 14 matches at the Beaujoire Stadium in all competitions.

St Etienne have lost four straight matches while their Ligue 1 safety has been on the line, so there’s no reason to think that they’ll live up to their favourites tag here.

PSG to beat Metz & over 3.5 goals (20:00)

Metz have already been relegated from Ligue 1 after losing four of their last five league away games.

PSG won 4-0 at Montpellier this weekend and can end their season in style against bad opposition.

This could be Kylian Mbappe’s last game for the Parisians, who have won their last home game of the season 4-0 in each of the last two completed seasons.
