Here are Will Rook‘s weekend football tips to help you on your way.
Cardiff to beat Huddersfield
Huddersfield remain second-bottom of the Championship and five points from safety following a 2-1 defeat at home to Wigan.
The Terriers sacked manager Danny Schofield following that loss, which was their sixth in eight.
Cardiff ended a five-game winless run with a 3-2 victory away to Middlesbrough in midweek and look a huge price against such poor opposition.
Bolton to beat Peterborough
Bolton recorded their third straight victory in all competitions as they won 2-0 away to MK Dons on Tuesday evening.
Back at home, where Ian Evatt’s side have won five out of seven in all competitions and three out of four in the league, they represent good value.
Peterborough come into this on the back of five straight defeats, two of which were against League Two Stevenage in the cup.
Grimsby to beat Colchester
Grimsby’s 1-1 draw with Gillingham extended their unbeaten run to six league matches.
The Mariners have won three straight away games as part of that run and are a great price here.
Fourth-bottom Colchester earned a 1-1 draw away to Walsall in midweek, but have just one victory in eight.
Mansfield to beat Gillingham
Gillingham have not transitioned well to League Two and are third-bottom after eight matches.
Neil Harris’ side have managed one victory and scored just two goals – three fewer than any other team.
Play-off finalists last season, Mansfield are one place and one point below the top seven having won three of their last five.
Barrow to beat Newport
Third-placed Barrow have been one of the stories of the League Two season so far.
Pete Wild’s side won 2-0 at home to Doncaster in midweek, which was their sixth victory out of eight – more than half of their total wins throughout last season.
Newport come into this after back-to-back defeats, while their only victories have come against out-of-form Tranmere and Harrogate last month.
