Here are Will Rook‘s weekend football tips to help you on your way.

Preston to beat QPR {ODDS:1106687107:21/10}

Preston earned their third victory in four matches on Saturday, beating local rivals Blackpool 3-1 at Deepdale.

Ryan Lowe’s side have lost just one league game in nine and look a great price against a QPR team shot of confidence.

The R’s have lost eight of their last nine, while they have managed just one victory in 17 in all competitions.

Portsmouth to beat MK Dons {ODDS:1112602363:7/4}

Portsmouth’s 1-0 victory over bottom-of-the-league Forest Green on Saturday cut the gap between themselves and the play-off positions to just three points.

John Mousinho’s side have won seven of their last 11 and can make that eight against opponents enduring a poor season.

MK Dons have put five points between themselves and the drop zone having taken 10 point from their last four matches. But they have struggled against the better sides, losing 17 of their 19 games against teams currently in the top 11.

Peterborough to beat Shrewsbury {ODDS:1112602025:13/10}

Shrewsbury were thumped 6-0 away to Charlton last weekend to all but end any lingering play-off hopes.

Steve Cotterill’s side are nine points below the top six with eight games to go, and have lost three of their last four.

One of those defeats came away to Peterborough, who they face here. Posh have won three and drawn one of their five games since beating Shrewsbury a month ago and have moved into the top six.

Bradford to beat Crawley {ODDS:1112556655:6/5}

Bradford won a topsy-turvy game 3-2 at home to Grimsby on Saturday, closing the gap between themselves and the automatic promotion spots in League Two to four points.

The Bantams are unbeaten in eight league games, while they have lost just two of their last 18, so look good value at odds-against.

Third-bottom Crawley were hammered 4-1 away to play-off chasing Mansfield last weekend meaning they have won just three in 14.

Hartlepool to beat Grimsby {ODDS:1112608858:16/5}

Second-bottom Hartlepool beat mid-table Swindon 2-1 last weekend to extend their unbeaten run to six matches.

The other five in that sequence have all been draws but, given that three of those came against teams currently in the top six, they’re in decent form.

Grimsby, like Swindon, have nothing to play for anymore and are winless in five.
