Throughout this season, the Betway Insider writers will take it in turns to place their own £25 multiple and two £5 free bets to try and earn as much profit as possible. We will keep track of our balance as we go. Last season we produced a profit of £484.80.

This week, Will Rook is in the hotseat with his football tips.

£25 QUALIFICATION BET (TO PLACE BEFORE 23:59 GMT ON FRIDAY)

I’m breaking the cardinal sin of an acca here and starting with an early kick-off, but I fancy Charlton at an odds-against price. The Addicks have won six league games on the bounce and travel to Gillingham, who have lost five of their last six to nil.

I’m staying in League One with the second leg and getting behind Ipswich. The Tractor Boys have won four out of four at home this season and should make it five against out-of-form Shrewsbury.

Finally, we’re dipping into League Two with Exeter. Matt Taylor’s side are unbeaten in their last 13 matches and have won six on the bounce at home. They look good to beat struggling Oldham.

FIRST £5 FREE BET (AVAILABLE AT 12:00 GMT ON SATURDAY)

I’m also using my first free bet on Saturday, starting with Swansea to beat Rotherham. Steve Cooper’s side have won three of their last four at the Liberty Stadium and I trust them to get past the inconsistent Millers.

We’re dropping into League Two now and I’m on Bolton, who look a generous price to me. Wanderers travel to second-bottom Stevenage, who are winless in 13 in all competitions.

Rounding us off, I think Grimsby represent great value this weekend. The Mariners haven’t been in great form recently, but did beat Barrow 1-0 in their last league game. Tranmere have lost three of their five home games this season, only beating bottom-of-the-league Southend and third-bottom Scunthorpe.
