In our first of five Betway Arena matches Evil geniuses will take on Complexity, you won't want to miss it...
Betway is delighted to announce a new multi-event eSports series, the Betway Arena.
Betway Arena will be kicking off on Friday 3rd March, with its first event, King of the Hill. This will be a series of Dota 2 matches, spread across five weekly events in the classic ‘winner stays on’ format.
Fans are in for an exciting first match, with Dota 2 powerhouse Evil Geniuses taking on the mighty compLexity Gaming. We’ve also got same great hosts in Zyori and Slacks, and casting by Annie and Purge. We’ll also have Sunsfan and Trent on the panel to keep viewers in the know.
This is going to be a thrilling contest, with an overall prize pool of $5,000 for the competing teams to rip each other to shreds over.
In the first match, two titans of North American Dota will be stepping into the Betway Arena for a United States derby. Evil Geniuses will no doubt be seen as favourites. The team is unbeaten this year so far, having recently twice defeated OG in the Dota Pit League.
But don’t be hasty: it’s never that simple with compLexity (see what we did there?).
The Boston Major at the tail end of last year was a good example of this. compLexity managed to bring the NA’s top squad down a peg, thanks to canceL^^’s impressive Outward Devourer performance, securing a respectable 2-1 win against EG.
But with great talent in players like Zai, Universe and especially Arteezy, compLexity will need to bring a great strategy to the table.
Whichever side of the battlefield you fall into, we’ll be offering great odds on all Betway Arena events, starting with this earth-shaking King of the Hill. Don’t miss out.
