Betway Premier League betting: Anderson to end Chisnall run

Flying Scotsman can deal Chizzy his first blow of the season in Exeter

Dave Chisnall has enjoyed a cracking start to the Betway Premier League with three wins and a draw from his opening four contests, but that unbeaten run is going to come to an end in Exeter this Thursday against world champion Gary Anderson.

The Flying Scotsman is one spot behind Chisnall in the table thanks to his loss to Michael van Gerwen in week three, but he is playing very well at the moment.

His tournament average is over 100 which demonstrates his good form; compare this to Chizzy who has managed three figures just once over the competition.

Chisnall did really turn it on last week with a thoroughly impressive win over Kim Huybrechts, but has picked up points without playing particularly well over the first three matches.

The man from St Helens also has a pretty shoddy record against Anderson, losing his last four clashes with the world champ, including both in this event last year.

Ando is clear favourite but he remains the value bet at 8/11.

Elsewhere, there could be an upset first thing on Thursday night as Kim Huybrechts goes in search of his first win of the tournament against Raymond van Barneveld.

Barney may have picked up his first victory of the campaign last week over Stephen Bunting, but he has an atrocious history with the Belgian. These men have taken to the oche six times and Huybrechts has won every single one of them.

He may not be in the greatest form at the moment but that record has to give him an edge on the south coast.

RVB is currently playing the better darts but history cannot be ignored. This one could be a great option for the draw, a result that looks a great pick at 7/2.

Elsewhere, it is pretty difficult to make a case against the favourites in the other three contests. Phil Taylor takes on James Wade, Adrian Lewis meets Stephen Bunting and Michael van Gerwen takes on Peter Wright.

Taylor, Lewis and Van Gerwen should be picking up two points in Exeter.

The Power and MVG dropped points with draws last time out but they both averaged well over 100 and are both playing extremely well at the moment.

Wade and Wright have only picked up one win between them so far and are not in the kind of form to trouble the world’s top two players.

Lewis against Bunting should be a tighter affair but the Bullet is just not playing well enough to seriously challenge Jackpot.

The former BDO world champ may have picked up a draw with Wade early on but three successive heavy defeats have left him in the doldrums and Lewis should capitalise.

A treble on the three former world champions pays out at a cracking 3.59 and that is well worth a punt.

Kim Huybrechts v Raymond van Barneveld – Draw @ 7/2

Taylor, Lewis & Van Gerwen to win @ 3.59

Gary Anderson to win @ 8/11
