Backing any team at odds-against has been a successful strategy in the Big Bash so far, with most teams quite evenly-matched.
It wasn’t long ago that the Hurricanes had won three of their last four, and a couple of defeats does not put me off backing them to beat Perth at a price bigger than evens.
Jason Roy to score over 23.5 runs
Roy has struggled to capitalise on good starts throughout this competition, but he is still a nice bet to pass this low runs mark.
He has scored at least 24 in three of his last four knocks.
Ben McDermott to score over 23.5 runs
McDermott has been a positive influence at the top of Hobart’s batting order, scoring 89* and 91 in two of his seven knocks, and passing this mark in four of them.
He fell just short of this mark last time out, scoring 22, but is still a good bet to pass it here.
Mitch Marsh to hit a six
This is an great price, considering that Marsh has hit a six in four of his last six innings.
He smashed 57* against the Sixers last week, and is given license to come in and whack the ball from No. 5 in the Scorchers’ batting order.
