England to win

Despite most of their top four failing, England came within one six of chasing 190 in their final T20 against Pakistan on Tuesday.

With Jos Buttler back in the side, the chances of the top order failing to deliver again are tiny. The hosts have won 11 of their last 15 in this format and are rightly favourites here.

England to score over 7.5 runs from their second over

The strength of England’s top order is such that this looks too good a bet to ignore, even if it is very specific.

Eoin Morgan’s side have hit a boundary in the second over of 13 of their last 15 T20s, and a top three of Buttler, Jonny Bairstow and Tom Banton are bound to get them off to a flyer.

Jos Buttler to hit a six

Surprisingly, Buttler has only hit a six in three of his last eight T20s, but these still look like long odds for a player of his ability to put that right.

England’s keeper hit 57, featuring a couple of sixes, in his last T20 international innings and is in good form after a successful Test match series against Pakistan.

Steve Smith to hit a six

Smith is also a good bet for a six.

He has hit one in his last four T20 innings for Australia, and – as we have learnt in several consecutive Ashes series – England struggle to get him out, so he should bat for plenty of the visitors’ 20 overs.
