Methodology
We gathered the North American cities which are well known for being coffee hotspots and analysed them on the following metrics:
• Total coffee shops – the more options, the better!
• Top rated coffee shops – shops with a 4-star TripAdvisor rating or higher.
• The percentage of online posts towards coffee which included positive sentiment.
• Online mentions of coffee per 100,000 residents.
• Average price (USD) of a Cappuccino* – the cheaper, the better!
Each city was then given a normalised score based on how they performed in the metrics above and ranked from highest scoring to lowest.
