With the 2026 NFL Draft upon us, we decided to crunch the numbers to see which teams are the most likely to hit on their picks based on past success.
The NFL Draft is one of the most exciting times of the league calendar. Every analyst and fan will put forward their evaluations of prospects, and every single pick will be heavily scrutinized.
And with stars such as Fernando Mendoza, Arvell Reese, and Jeremiyah Love set to make the transition to the pro game, this year’s draft is set to dominate the headlines again.
But which teams are likelier to draft well based on how well they’ve picked in the last decade? Well, to find out, NFL betting site Betway analyzed every pick made by teams since the 2016 NFL Draft.
With three Super Bowl wins and a further two Super Bowl appearances in the analyzed timeframe, the Kansas City Chiefs were found to be the NFL’s best talent spotters, with an impressive draft score of 94.5.
Despite not leading any of the categories, the Chiefs scored consistently well in each metric. Only the Philadelphia Eagles drafted more Super Bowl winners than the Chiefs’ 42. The Chiefs ranked in the top three for drafted players to make the PFWA All-Rookie Team.
Since 2016, Kansas City has drafted 6 players who have made an All-Pro team. Only five teams bettered this. The franchise also ranked 11th when it came to Pro Bowl players drafted.
The Detroit Lions were crowned as the second-best talent spotters with a draft score of 91.7. While not having the same postseason success as the Chiefs, the Lions have found success in the draft recently. Jahmyr Gibbs, Penei Sewell, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Aidan Hutchinson are just some of the superstars to be selected by the Lions since 2016.
In fact, no team beats the Lions when it comes to Pro Bowlers drafted (16) and All-Pros selected (10). The franchise also had the third highest number of drafted players to make the All-Rookie team.
When looking at last season’s Super Bowl winners, the Seattle Seahawks came in at 6th, with a draft score of 86.6.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba being named NFL Offensive Player of the Year and Kenneth Walker III winning Super Bowl MVP meant the Seahawks have drafted two end of season award winners. Only the New Orleans Saints boasted more than this.
In the last decade, only the Chiefs and Eagles have drafted more Super Bowl winners than the Seahawks’ 34.

Methodology
We looked at every NFL team’s draft picks over the last 10 drafts and analyzed them based on the following metrics:
End of Season Major Award Winners Drafted (NFL MVP, Super Bowl MVP, NFL Offensive Player of the Year, NFL Defensive Player of the Year, NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, NFL Comeback Player of the Year)
All-Pro Players Drafted (First and second team)
Drafted rookies who have made the PFWA All-Rookie Team
Pro Bowlers Drafted
Super Bowl Winners Drafted
Each team was scored for their performance in each metric. These scores were then totaled up and used to give each team a normalized final draft score out of 100.
Draft pick data was sourced from Pro-Football-Reference.
