Indiana Pacers to beat Miami Heat –
The Heat snapped the Toronto Raptors’ 12-game winning streak at home on Tuesday night for their fifth successive victory, but their run of results should end against a tough Indiana side.
The Pacers have won back-to-back home games against the Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks, and will benefit from playing in Indiana again on Wednesday night.
Fatigue will likely be an issue for Miami with this being their second away trip in as many nights, and it’s safe to expect a slump given that they’ve played in five close games in a row.
New Orleans Pelicans to beat Memphis Grizzlies –
The Pelicans lost to the Grizzlies on the opening night of the season, but a repeat result is unlikely on Wednesday.
Memphis sit bottom of the Eastern Conference with a 12-27 record, and they’ve lost 13 of their last 16 home games.
New Orleans, who have found some consistency with five wins in their last eight games and three in four on the road, should continue to pile on the misery.
Minnesota Timberwolves to beat Oklahoma City Thunder –
In a match-up of potential Western Conference playoff opponents, the Timberwolves’ excellent home record of 15 wins and six defeats should prove crucial.
The league’s seventh-highest scorers are really difficult to beat on their own court and they blew out the Cleveland Cavaliers 127-99 in their last game.
They shouldn’t have much trouble seeing off the Thunder, who lost by three when these teams met on Minnesota in October and currently boast an 8-12 away record.
Washington Wizards (-7.5) to beat Utah Jazz –
The Jazz are terrible at the moment, with just one win in their last seven games and three in 16.
Utah haven’t won on the road since 21 December, and should struggle against a Wizards team on a run of six wins from eight.
The Jazz’s last six defeats have come by an average margin of 13 points, so a win of eight points or more for Washington is worth backing.
