NBA betting: Tips for Thursday night’s basketball

Portland are the NBA's form team, and they head our accumulator, with odds boosted to 19/2.

Chicago Bulls to beat Memphis Grizzlies – {ODDS:251142096:21/20}

The Grizzlies are currently the NBA’s worst team, having lost 18 games in a row.

They are in full tank mode as they look to earn a high draft pick, and should lose again against a Bulls team that haven’t yet completely mailed in their season.

Chicago have won three of their last six games, one of which was a 119-110 victory over the Grizzlies at home.

New Orleans Pelicans to beat San Antonio Spurs – {ODDS:251142267:6/4}

The Spurs – one of the Western Conference’s most consistent teams for the past two decades – are struggling, with a 38-30 record and a run of five defeats in seven games.

In the Pelicans they face a rising young team that have won 11 of their last 13 and almost locked up a spot in the postseason.

New Orleans beat the Spurs 121-116 in San Antonio two weeks ago, and a repeat result is likely in this reverse fixture.

Denver Nuggets to beat Detroit Pistons – {ODDS:251142618:10/39}

The Nuggets still have a chance of earning a playoff spot in the West, and they should boost their chances with a win over the struggling Pistons.

Detroit were beaten 110-79 by the Utah Jazz last time out, and they’ve now lost eight of their last 10 games.

With an away record of nine wins and 23 defeats, it’s hard to see them coming away from Denver with a win.

Portland Trail Blazers to beat Cleveland Cavaliers – {ODDS:251142789:20/43}

The Trail Blazers are the NBA’s form team on a run of 10 successive wins.

They’ve won seven home games in a row – one of which was against the Golden State Warriors – and now face a Cavaliers team that have lost four of seven.

Cleveland have a record of 17 wins and 17 defeats away from home this season, and they’ve only won 12 of their 26 games against Western Conference teams.
