England picked up their first Nations League points in Czechia on Tuesday and can go a long way to sealing qualification for the quarter-finals with a win.
Clashes between these sides are littered all over the Three Lions’ recent history, including when Thomas Tuchel’s side won 4-2 at the World Cup in the summer.
The hosts, led by Slaven Bilic, backed up their opening win over Czechia with a heavy defeat in Spain, so will also see this one as a big match.
Here are our football tips for Tuesday night’s clash, producing a 20/1 Bet Builder.
Croatia v England betting tips
England to win 31/40
Harry Kane to take 2+ shots on target 35/40
Lewis Hall to take 2+ shots 2/1
Elliot Anderson to take 2+ shots 6/4
England to win
England have started this break where they left off, one of the very best sides in Europe but still unable to beat the elite.
They did struggle early on in Czechia but had restored some control before the red card that set the path for a comfortable 2-0 win.
And having beaten Croatia so impressively recently, there is little reason why this shouldn’t be another three points.
Bilic’s side were beaten handily by Spain and just aren’t in the Three Lions’ class.
Harry Kane to take 2+ shots on target
Kane has scored in both matches so far and has to be considered a strong bet to do so again.
But with two shots on target a slightly bigger price than anytime goalscorer, let’s take that instead.
If Kane scores with his only shot on target then we’ve been unlucky, but this bet also allows for the possibility that he doesn’t score at all.
Lewis Hall to take 2+ shots
Hall put in a very lively performance in Czechia, going a long way to securing the left-back berth for himself.
The left-back looked a real attacking threat in particular, taking two shots, and that’s what we’re backing him to do again.
His relationship with former Newcastle team-mate Anthony Gordon down the left is key, and sees him make inverted runs into good areas in the box when Gordon stays wide.
Elliot Anderson to take 2+ shots
Anderson’s fine track record for shots continued in Czechia, where he took two and won us a leg in the Bet Builder for that match.
The extended reasoning is similar here: he took nine shots in four World Cup qualifying starts before having at least one effort in the first four games of the tournament itself, including four against Ghana.
As Tuchel’s key midfielder in this squad, he is bound to start again and can play his part in a dominant performance.
Croatia v England odds
England can set up their qualification chances nicely with a win here, which would leave them three points clear of third with home games against Czechia and Croatia to come.
If key, in-form players can hit their stride again, that gives us a chance of landing this 20/1football betting Bet Builder.
