Back any player to win the Masters and Betway will pay out if they lead at the end of round one.

BRYSON DECHAMBEAU

To lead after the first round

DeChambeau is the favourite to win the Masters, so it would be no surprise if he tops the leaderboard on Sunday night.

However, given that his price to win is short, his habit of starting fast makes him a great first-round leader bet.

DeChambeau ranked third in first-round scoring average on the PGA Tour last season and tops that category this season – albeit after just two events. He opened with a round of 62 at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in his last start to lead after round one.

The 27-year-old was the joint-leader after Thursday’s play at last year’s Masters, and all signs point to him starting well again this time around.

LOUIS OOSTHUIZEN

To lead after the first round

Oosthuizen has opened with scores of 67-65-70 in his last three starts, meaning he ranks joint-eighth in first-round scoring average on the PGA Tour this season.

The 67 was at the US Open, where he was joint-fifth after Thursday’s play and went on to finish third.

Starting well isn’t a new habit for Oosthuizen – he also ranked inside the top 10 last season.

The South African has a good record at Augusta, with four top-20s including a runner-up finish in 2012, and he can certainly challenge again on current form.

IAN POULTER

To win

To lead after the first round

Poulter is hitting form just in time for the Masters, having finished T12 or better in each of his last three starts.

The 44-year-old shot 69 or better in the first round at all three of those events and looks poised to make another fast start at Augusta.

Poulter fired a 68 in the first round at last year’s Masters, which left him joint-fourth at the end of the first day, while he also ranked inside the top 30 in first-round scoring average on the PGA Tour in 2019/20.
