Our preview of Sunday's hurling action includes selections from Tipperary v Waterford, Limerick v Cork and Kilkenny v Dublin.

The Munster Hurling Championship is once more delivering on all the anticipated hype and Sunday brings another mouthwatering double-header as Tipperary welcome Waterford in Thurles and Cork make the journey into the Lion’s Den to face Limerick in the Gaelic Grounds.

Kilkenny entertain Dublin in Nowlan Park also on Sunday afternoon in the Leinster SHC action. Tipperary have most to gain on Sunday and the Premier County can make their mark. Here is our GAA betting preview for the best of the action.

Selections

Tipperary to beat Waterford 8/13

Limerick v Cork: Over 3.5 Goals 13/8

Kilkenny over 29.5 points v Dublin 8/11

Premier to enforce home rule

Semple Stadium is the venue for the first of Sunday’s Munster SHC double-header and Tipperary should make their home advantage count in Thurles. A win for either side will cement third spot.

Tipp downed the All-Ireland champions Clare in Ennis last week, thanks in no small part to a blistering 17-minute first-half salvo that yielded four goals.

Liam Cahill’s side were 12 points to the good by the 27th minute in Ennis but the Banner rallied and Mark Rodgers’ 63rd minute free levelled a rollercoaster ride.

Tipp had to dig into their reserves and scored the final four points of the contest to win and now have a chance to reach a first Munster decider in four years and they should enhance their claims with a win over the Deise.

Rebels to contribute to another cracker

Limerick surrendered their hopes of five-in-a-row last summer as Cork upstaged them at Croke Park, but the Treaty County would have allowed themselves a smile when the Rebels were then ambushed in the final by Clare.

Cork are favourites to go one better and lift the Liam McCarthy Cup this season, but this provincial clash of these fierce rivals is too tough to call.

The opening weekend of Munster hurling action produced two draws, another stalemate here at 8/1 is considered, but instead we’re falling on over 3.5 goals.

That opening weekend saw Tipp and Limerick split four goals, while Cork had two green flags to Clare’s three in Ennis. The Leesiders hammered four goals past Tipperary since.

Limerick didn’t score a goal in their win over Waterford last time, but John Kiely’s side were able to hold the Deise at arm’s length without any three-pointers. This could be a real firecracker in the Gaelic Grounds.

Cats to keep the scoreboard ticking

Kilkenny should have too much for Dublin in Nowlan Park and they are strong favourites at 2/7.

Derek Lyng’s Cats have scored 33, 36 and 37 points in three Leinster wins so far and can get beyond 29 again now.

Niall Ó Ceallacháin’s first season in the Dublin bainisteoir bib is going well, his side have won all three games in Leinster, but this is a different test after a routine win over Antrim last weekend in Belfast.

They conceded 4-19 in the win over Wexford last month and this Kilkenny side is fresh off scoring 4-25 against Offaly as TJ Reid knocked over 2-09 on his first championship start of the year.
