Premier League tips: A 12/1 acca for Sunday’s final day

Our selections for the final round of the Premier League season include a high-scoring contest at the City Ground between Nottingham Forest and Chelsea.

Gameweek 38 looms large in the Premier League as the top-flight season draws to a close, and some fascinating fixtures will take place as the curtain comes down.

All matches kick off at the same time – 4pm on Sunday – so no team has the advantage of knowing any other results. Liverpool are the champions, while Leicester, Ipswich and Southampton have been relegated, but the European places are still to be determined.

We have put together a football betting accumulator for the Sunday matches which pays more than 9/1.

Sunday Premier League tips

Over 2.5 goals in Bournemouth vs Leicester 19/40
Under 2.5 goals in Fulham vs Manchester City 6/4
Over 2.5 goals in Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea 4/6
Over 2.5 goals in Wolves vs Brentford 1/2

Over 2.5 goals in Bournemouth vs Leicester

Hopes of European football have been dashed at the Vitality Stadium and Bournemouth are merely looking to put on a show for their fans in the final match of the season. Expect an attacking approach from the Cherries and goals to flow.

Leicester will also be keen to get among the goals in their final match before dropping back to the Championship, so expect a carefree approach to defending and an open, entertaining fixture.

Under 2.5 goals in Fulham vs Manchester City

Focus on goals for the final-day acca and opt for unders at Craven Cottage. Manchester City know that a point will almost certainly be enough to secure Champions League football for next season, so expect disciplined tactics from the visitors.

There is no margin for error for City any longer in the wake of their FA Cup final defeat to Crystal Palace – failing to deliver Champions League football for next term would make this a truly disastrous campaign for the Citizens. Few teams in the league are better at playing possession football, so expect City to retain the ball, keep things tight and control a low-scoring game.

Over 2.5 goals in Nottingham Forest vs Chelsea

The opposite scenario may unfold at the City Ground where both Nottingham Forest and Chelsea will probably be gunning for three points. Forest are aware that they definitely need to win to have hope of Champions League qualification, while a point is unlikely to be enough for Chelsea to get back into Europe’s premier competition.

Expect both Forest and the Blues to attack from the first whistle and a ding-dong encounter may ensue. Three or more goals in the game is rightly odds-on and can sustain the acca.

Over 2.5 goals in Wolves vs Brentford

Incredibly it is possible for 10 English sides to be playing European football next season. Eighth place may well still be enough for a Conference League spot and Brentford know that they need to win at Wolves on Sunday to have a chance.

Brentford have scored in their last nine away games and the Bees should adopt a gung-ho approach at Molineux. Over 2.5 goals in the game can complete the acca.
