Here are five football tips that Jack Green thinks you should consider for Portsmouth v Arsenal on Monday night.

Portsmouth (+2)

Arsenal crashed out of the Europa League with a 2-1 home defeat to Olympiakos last Thursday and now face a tricky trip to Fratton Park to face in-form Portsmouth.

Pompey have won 13 of their last 15 games in all competitions, including 10 in a row at home, so they should manage to at least stay within a goal of the Gunners.

Both teams to score

Portsmouth have bagged at least two goals in each of their last nine home matches, and have netted nine across their last three at Fratton Park.

Arsenal have found the net in 12 of their 13 matches under Mikel Arteta, so they should also get on the scoresheet on Monday night.

John Marquis to score

Marquis has been in fine form in 2020, bagging eight goals in a 13-game run that dates back to 7 January.

The Englishman looks a great bet against an Arsenal defence that looked very shaky in last week’s defeat to Olympiakos.

Eddie Nketiah to score

Nketiah was left out against Olympiakos, meaning he’ll almost certainly start for the third successive domestic match on Monday night.

The 20-year-old got on the scoresheet against Everton in his last start.

Christian Burgess to be carded

Burgess has been booked 10 times in League One this season – four more than any other Portsmouth player.

The centre-back has been carded in three of his last five appearances and is a good bet to pick up another yellow against the club that he joined at the age of seven.
