IPL Picks: Punjab Kings Betting Favourites Tomorrow Against Lucknow

In IPL matches this weekend, PBKS is in a must‑win vs LSG, RR aim to seal playoffs vs MI, DC‑KKR is a virtual elimination clash

It gets real on the betting front with the Indian Premier League, also called the IPL, this weekend.

IPL is the world’s biggest and richest professional Twenty20 cricket league, huge when talking elite, international talent, massive television audiences, celebrity culture, and short, fast-paced matches – that’s what makes it such an appeal from a sports-betting perspective.

For those who haven’t followed the IPL and are looking to bet on it for the first time, the IPL is often compared to the NFL, NBA, English Premier League or Champions League, when talking popularity, media attention – and bettor interest.

The league features 10 city-based franchises across India, led by the Mumbai Indians (MI), Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Gujarat Titans (GT), and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

There’s a full schedule of important matches this weekend.

It starts tomorrow, with the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) versus Punjab Kings (PBKS) at Ekana Stadium, Lucknow – 7:30 PM IST (10 a.m. EST).

On Sunday it’s the Mumbai Indians (MI) versus Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, 3:30 PM IST (6 a.m. EST). Also on Sunday, it’s Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) versus Delhi Capitals (DC) at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, 7:30 PM IST (10 a.m. EST)

These are among the final league matches of the season (which runs until May 31). RCB, GT, and SRH have already qualified for the playoffs.

BEST BETS

In IPL betting, on Betway, Lucknow Super Giants at Punjab Kings, Lucknow is at +120, Punjab Kings -154.

On Sunday, at Betway, it’s a coin toss: Mumbai Indians -112, Rajasthan Royals -112, and Kolkata Knight Riders -143, Delhi Capitals +120.

In LSG versus PBKS, it’s a must-win for PBKS. PBKS (with better recent form in some stretches) are often favorites. LSG (eliminated) could play spoiler at home.

Key bets: Player props on batters like Shreyas Iyer or Mitchell Marsh (overs on runs), death-over bowling, and total score (Ekana can be slower/spin-friendly).

Overs and aggressive batting props become attractive because Punjab may need not only a win, but potentially a convincing margin for net run rate. Live betting volatility should be high because PBKS likely won’t play conservatively.

In Sunday’s MI versus RR at Wankhede, RR is favored to clinch qualification. Wankhede is typically batting-friendly/high-scoring, so expect overs on totals or player runs (for example, explosive openers).

MI (eliminated but capable of upsets with stars like Bumrah) as home underdogs adds value in the upset markets.

For the resurgent KKR (recent wins) versus struggling DC, KKR is often favored. Eden Gardens dynamics (spin, dew) matter for totals and bowler props. Big margins here could swing NRR scenarios.

Sunday night’s clash between Delhi Capitals and KKR will likely be the biggest betting game of the weekend.

Expect playoff-style intensity rather than regular-season experimentation. KKR’s home-field edge at Eden Gardens matters; home advantage has been a major factor league-wide this season.

RR are viewed as the frontrunner for the final playoff spot. One win may effectively seal qualification for them.
