Andrade v Namajunas odds:

The focus at UFC 251 may be upon the three title fights, but don’t sleep on this rematch between two former strawweight champions.

These two fighters first met in May 2019, as Jessica Andrade ripped the 115lb belt from Rose Namajunas with a brutal slam after being dominated for much of the fight.

The Brazilian then lost the title in her very next outing as current champion Zhang Weili scored a similarly brutal knockout after just 42 seconds.

The belt may not be on the line on Saturday, but this matchup could essentially serve as a title eliminator, with Andrade ranked No. 1 and Namajunas No. 2 at 125lb.

It is Namajunas who heads to Fight Island as favourite, with opponent Andrade priced at .

Andrade v Namajunas prediction:

It was Namajunas who dominated much of their first fight, keeping Andrade at bay with her rangy, accurate striking.

If the American again uses her jab effectively to keep her opponent at arm’s length, then it could be a long night for Andrade.

As the first bout proved, however, all it takes is a split-second for the Brazilian to change the course of a fight.

Andrade’s raw power is unmatched in the UFC’s lightest division, with only champion Zhang Weili anywhere close to rivalling her.

She remains a threat on the feet right until the final bell, and that makes her worth a punt to win on Saturday.

Namajunas’ talk of retirement following their first fight suggests she is not in the best of places, and that could prove crucial.

Backing Andrade to win by any means at is good value, but it is always worth putting money on a finish when the Brazilian is involved.

She is to win by knockout on Fight Island, so backing the rematch to mirror their initial meeting looks a great bet.
