2/1 - Milos Raonic to beat Andy Murray

A fit-again Milos Raonic has taken the tour by storm in 2016 and few would be surprised if he battle past Andy Murray on Friday.

The giant Canadian has already beaten Stan Wawrinka and Gael Monfils to reach the semi-finals, having also been victorious against the likes of Bernard Tomic and Roger Federer just a fortnight ago in Brisbane.

Andy Murray has had a much simpler path on his way to the semi-finals.

David Ferrer was the only realistic challenge on paper to the Scot, and the ageing Spaniard managed to push Murray all the way in the Melbourne heat.

That match that surely will have sapped plenty of energy from the world No. 2.

Raonic has managed to have success against Murray in the past, with wins against him in Barcelona, Tokyo and Indian Wells.

Few players are able to neutralise Murray’s return game like Raonic, who has developed into a significantly stronger player overall since those victories.

Murray has, understandably, struggled with personal issues away from the court over the past two weeks, but the Scot has yet to face a player with the calibre to capitalise on this.

Raonic could well be that man.
