Here are five bets Guy Giles thinks you should consider for England v Australia, which kicks off at 08:15 on Saturday.

England (-8)

England have won all six of their matches against Australia under Eddie Jones, with five of those victories coming by nine or more points.

The Wallabies lost to Wales in the pool stages and were troubled by Fiji, whereas England comfortably topped Group C with maximum points.

Winning margin: England 13+

England’s last three wins against Australia came by 19, 24 and 16 points.

Australia look stronger than they have done in a while but, so do England, and an extra weeks’ rest could see them pull away in the closing stages.

Total tries: Over 4.5

There have been more tries scored at this stage of the World Cup than both 2011 and 2015, despite there being three fewer pool matches.

England have scored 17 tries in three games and Australia 20 in four, so this looks a good bet for Saturday.

First tryscorer: Jonny May

May scored the first try in England’s win over Argentina, his only score in two appearances so far in the tournament.

The winger has dotted down in his last two outings against the Wallabies, including the opening try in their most recent match in November 2018.

With Betway’s first tryscorer offer, you can double your winnings if your pick scores again in the same match, with wingers accounting for four of eight such pay-outs so far.

Anytime tryscorer: Jamie George

Hookers scored 22 tries across the pool stages, with George himself crossing against Tonga.

He will once again be directing England’s pack at lineouts and mauls, so should get his hands on the ball within sight of the try line on a few occasions.
