NFL betting tips: Our 11/2 four-fold for Week 8
Jack Green's NFL tips and predictions for the eighth Sunday of the season feature four teams, two from each conference, in an 11/2 accumulator.
Here are Jack Green's NFL predictions for the eighth Sunday of the season, which make up an 11/2 four-fold.
Indianapolis Colts to beat Detroit Lions
The Colts are 4-2 after beating the Cincinnati Bengals 31-27 last time out, and their defence has been excellent this season, averaging the fourth-fewest points per game in the NFL.
They now face the Lions, who are 3-3 but were very fortunate to beat Atlanta last week. The Falcons self-destructed while in complete control with a minute remaining, handing Detroit the chance to win.
Indianapolis are a much more competent team than Atlanta and should be well prepared for this game after having a bye last week.
Los Angeles Chargers to beat Denver Broncos
The Chargers earned their second win of the season last week, beating the Jacksonville Jaguars 39-29 thanks to the excellent play of rookie quarterback Justin Herbert.
Los Angeles are now 2-4, but two of their defeats came in overtime and they have faced an incredibly tough schedule so far.
They are worth backing against the Broncos, who are also 2-4 after a 43-16 defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs last week and are struggling badly with injuries at present.
New Orleans Saints to beat Chicago Bears
New Orleans managed to grind out a win over the Panthers last week, and they now face a Bears team that lost 24-10 to the LA Rams on Monday night.
Chicago’s offense has struggled badly this season and will almost certainly be without star receiver Allen Robinson for this game after he suffered a concussion last time out.
That is a boost for the Saints, who have defended the pass poorly all season, and New Orleans’ offensive edge should be enough to earn the victory here.
Seattle Seahawks to beat San Francisco 49ers
Seattle suffered their first defeat of the season last week, losing 37-34 to the Arizona Cardinals in overtime on Sunday night, but their offense should be able to overpower the 49ers.
San Francisco were impressive in a 33-6 win over the New England Patriots last week, but this is a much more difficult test.
The Seahawks have averaged 33.8 points per game this season – the most in the NFL – while the 49ers rank 16th and are missing several offensive starters, including their best running back and wide receiver.
