Saturday racing tips: Bets for York and Sandown

Our tipster reveals his selections for the weekend racecards, including a win double and Lucky 15.
14.05 Scurry Stakes (Sandown)
We'll kick things off at Sandown, where three-year-olds battle over 5f.
I really like Charlie Hills' SPOOF .
He’s a course and distance winner and also finished a notable third in the bet365 handicap in April.
He then followed that up with a brilliant win in the Boodles Diamond Handicap at Chester at top weight of 9-7.
Callum Shepherd has three wins on board from a possible seven and I think he’ll add another here.
15.00 – Grand Cup Stakes (York)
I think John Gosden’s WEEKENDER is the one to beat in this field.
The colt holds a decent record with three wins, two seconds and two thirds from eight trips, only finishing outside the top three on debut.
He was beaten by a nose by Raheen House at Ascot in October, but followed up with a convincing win at Chelmsford in May.
Already a winner over 1m 5f, and with Frankie Dettori in the saddle, this looks a good bet.
15:15 – Class 2 Handicap (Sandown)
Over to Sandown now.
In a wide open handicap the one I’m going for is SALT WHISTLE BAY .
Trained by Rae Guest, this colt has hit great form since July last year (1131-212), including a big win at Yarmouth, beating Victoria Cup winner Ripp Orf.
He’s proven over 1m and well handicapped at 9-5. I think this is a tasty price at.
15:50 Class 3 Handicap (Sandown)
I’m siding with Charlie Hills’ yard again in this 7f handicap, with MUTAKATIF .
This colt has made a really good start with one win two seconds and a third – including a respectable runner-up place to Expert Eye at Newbury last June.
He hasn’t run since September, which is a slight concern, but I still think he’ll take all the beating.
