Back to win: Ryan Fox

Fox looks a great bet to win this week on a links-style track at the Dutch.

The Australian has enjoyed some decent results on links courses this year. He finished second in a playoff at the Irish Open and T6 the following week in Scotland.

Fox has made 12 consecutive cuts after finishing T30 at last week’s European Masters, and he’s having an excellent season on the European Tour. He ranks sixth in stroke average, second in driving distance and first in GIR.

Each-way shout: Matthew Southgate

Southgate has made seven successive cuts since the start of July, with a T5 at the Open de France and a T10 at the Nordea Masters the highlights of that run.

The Englishman’s previous results on links courses – including two top-five finishes in the last three years at the Irish Open and a T6 at the 2017 Open Championship – suggest his fine run of form will continue in Holland.

Southgate finished T51 in his only previous start at this event in 2016, but he should perform much better on this occasion given that he ranks first in GIR and 13th in stroke average on the European Tour this season.

Outside shot: Richard McEvoy

McEvoy is a big price considering he’s just three starts removed from a win at the European Open in July.

The Englishman’s triumph at Green Eagle came a week after he won the Le Vaudreuil Golf Challenge on the Challenge Tour, and he comes into this event on the back of a T16 at last week’s European Masters.

McEvoy finished T20 at The Dutch last year, and currently ranks second in driving accuracy on the European Tour.
