Everton to beat Southampton: £10 at
Everton had the best home record of clubs outside the top six last season, and I expect that record to improve under Marco Silva.
The Toffees played well with 10 men at Wolves last weekend and should record their first win of the season against Southampton, who were poor at home to Burnley in their opener.
Everton to beat Southampton, BTTS in Sheffield United v Norwich, Walsall v Gillingham and Lazio v Napoli: £10 at 9/1*
I can’t imagine Everton not beating Southampton, who were outplayed by Burnley at St Mary’s last weekend.
Sheffield United and Norwich have seen goals at both ends in both of their league matches so far, while Walsall and Gillingham have both started well in attack.
Both teams scored in 68.42 per cent of Lazio’s league matches last season, including two 4-1s against Napoli.
Middlesbrough, Blackburn, Doncaster, Gillingham and Ebbsfleet all to win or draw: £10 at 10/1*
I'm backing five teams whose prices look just a tad too generous not to lose away from home this weekend.
Boro should maintain their unbeaten record away to a Bristol City side that are still yet to earn three points despite a kind start to the season.
Blackburn have looked at home back in Championship and hit five in midweek, while Doncaster and Gillingham have both made perfect starts in League One.
Barnet have endured a miserable start to life back in the National League and will struggle to get their first victory of the season against an Ebbsfleet side that don't often lose on the road.
Everton to beat Southampton, BTTS in Chelsea v Arsenal and Cristiano Ronaldo to score anytime: £10 at 5/1*
I was also impressed with Everton last weekend and think they will beat Southampton, who showed very little against Burnley.
Chelsea had no problem carving up Huddersfield at the weekend and will almost certainly score against an Arsenal defence that are still yet to adapt to Unai Emery’s style of play.
The Gunners failed to register in their opener against Manchester City, but I fancy them to also find a way through at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Finally, an almost inevitable debut goal for Cristiano Ronaldo away at Chievo rounds off this tasty treble.
Barnsley and Portsmouth to win and Forest Green and Macclesfield to avoid defeat: £10 on 9/1*
League One leaders Barnsley have won two from two, scored six goals without reply and conceded just four shots on target, so I expect them to beat Wimbledon.
Portsmouth, meanwhile, should beat an Oxford side that have been dreadful so far.
Forest Green were only denied a second straight win after a late Oldham penalty last weekend and should at least avoid defeat at Bury.
Oldham themselves are winless in their opening two league games, so I’m backing Macclesfield – who knocked League One Bradford City out of the EFL Cup on Tuesday – to get something at Boundary Park.
