Portsmouth, Lincoln and Northampton all to win: £5 at 9/2*

Having won consecutive home league games 1-0, 4-1 and 3-0, Portsmouth are nice price at evens to beat Shrewsbury on Saturday.

Lincoln have won all of their League Two matches at Sincil Bank and are a safe bet against Crawley, who have lost three away matches in a row.

An having drawn two home matches they should have won, I’m backing Northampton to overcome Cheltenham, who have lost four of six in the league.

BTTS in Accrington Stanley v Burton, Southend v Peterborough and Sunderland v Fleetwood: £10 at 4/1*

I’m a bit lost without the top European leagues this weekend, so a relatively safe BTTS treble looks the way to go.

The games at Accrington and Sunderland both feature in Adam’s Saturday BTTS tips, while Southend v Peterborough is potentially goal-laden.

Spain to beat England: £10 at

Spain’s poor World Cup can probably be attributed to the sacking of Julen Lopetegui, and I fancy them to return to their pre-tournament standards under new manager Luis Enrique.

And while England gave us a summer to remember in Russia, the reality is that they won just three of their seven matches and were outclassed every time they faced stellar opposition (Belgium x2 and Croatia). Away win.

Portsmouth, Wrexham, Harrogate and Salford all to win: £10 at 11/1*

Like a couple of the other lads, I can’t ignore Portsmouth at evens.

Elsewhere, though, I’m dipping into the National League in search of my first win of the season.

Harrogate have won five of their last six, including three in a row at home by aggregate score of 9-1.

That run will surely continue against Havant & Waterlooville, who have conceded 14 goals in their last three away games.

Salford have recovered from a shaky start to win their last three home games in a six-match unbeaten run, and should beat a Maidstone side that have lost four on the bounce, failing to score in each of their last two.

Finally, winless Braintree look in all kinds of trouble after losing to Dagenham in midweek, who, before that, were the only team below them in the table.

Wrexham, their opponents on Saturday, had won three away games in a row before suffering their only defeat of the season at Solihull on Bank Holiday Monday.

WILL ROOK

Barnsley, Portsmouth and Lincoln to win and over 2.5 goals in Sunderland v Fleetwood: £10 at 15/2*

Barnsley have dominated the shot data in League One so far this season and remain unbeaten after six games, so are worth backing against Walsall despite their short price.

Fellow promotion rivals Portsmouth have won three from three at Fratton Park and are a great price at home to winless Shrewsbury.

Over at the Stadium of Light, I’m expecting an entertaining match between Sunderland and Fleetwood.

Four of Sunderland’s six league games have had three or more goals and while they continue to present the opposition with chances, it’s hard to see that changing.

Finally, League Two leaders Lincoln have won three from three at home. They should make it four from four against Crawley.
