Tenner On is our writers' weekly football tips competition.
The rules are simple: each writer is given £10 to place any bet(s) they like over the weekend. At the end of the season, the writer with the most profit is crowned the Insider's top tipster.
Everton, Swansea and Portsmouth all to win: £10 at 11/2*
Fulham have taken just three points from their last 13 matches in the Premier League and have lost nine of the spin. A newly-invigorated Everton, who have won their last three, will ease past them here.
Swansea are my best-value bet of the week. They have won their last three matches, scoring three goals or more in each, and are a great price to beat managerless QPR, who have won just one of their last 13 games.
Finally, Portsmouth have won five of their last six league games, with each of those victories coming against bottom-half sides. They have beaten Rochdale twice already this season in league and cup, so expect them to notch a third.
Juventus to win, Borussia Dortmund to win & over 1.5 goals, Atletico Madrid to win & under 4.5 goals: £10 at 7/2*
I’m with three of Europe’s biggest teams this week, so fingers crossed for no upsets.
Juventus have won 27 of 31 league games, so getting them at close to evens to beat SPAL looks good.
In the Bundesliga, Dortmund have won 12 of their 14 league home games, all of which have produced more than one goal.
Finally, I’m backing Atletico & under 4.5 to land for the 13th time in 16 home league matches.
Juventus and Eintracht Frankfurt to win, Hoffenheim to win and BTTS: £10 at 13/2*
Juventus will make plenty of changes against SPAL on Saturday but still look good value given that the hosts are 16th in the league.
Frankfurt could also field a slightly weakened side against Augsburg having played in the Europa League on Thursday, but they’re on a six-game winning streak in the league and now face a side that lost 4-0 to Hoffenheim last weekend.
Speaking of Hoffenheim, I fancy them to beat Hertha BSC, who have lost four games in a row.
These sides both score plenty of goals, so a home win and BTTS looks a relatively safe bet.
Southampton to beat Wolves: £10 at 8/5*
Southampton’s last three home matches have delivered two wins, against Fulham and Tottenham, and a spirited display in defeat against Liverpool.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they beat Wolves, who suffered a galling defeat to Watford in last weekend’s FA Cup semi-final and are without a win in four away from home (two draws, two defeats).
Burnley, Manchester United and Manchester City to win & under 4.5 goals, Brighton to win or draw, BTTS & over 2.5 in Aston Villa v Bristol City, Doncaster to win & over 1.5 goals: £10 at 40/1*
I'm building this bet around three Premier League favourites to win with under 4.5 goals in each game.
Cardiff have only managed nine away goals all season while West Ham have scored just once in their last seven games on the road.
City have won 12 of their last 13 in the league with fewer than five goals in all but one. Taking on a naturally conservative Palace side, and with work to do against Spurs on Wednesday, I don't expect that pattern to change.
One game that does promise goals is Aston Villa v Bristol City. BTTS has landed in four of both sides' last five games, including two 2-1s, a 2-2, a 3-1 and two 3-2s.
The same goes for Doncaster, who have won their last six home games against bottom-half opposition with three or more goals in all of them.
I was tempted to throw in Brighton & under 4.5 as well, given Bournemouth's wretched away form, but didn't want to push my luck. Instead, I'll stick them in as double chance to at least give myself a chance of climbing off the bottom.
