Roberto Pereyra to score

Pereyra may be on a eight-match scoring drought, but his performances suggest that a seventh goal of the season is imminent.

The Argentina international missed several presentable chances in Watford’s last home game against Cardiff, and was poised to score before being taken down for the penalty that Troy Deeney netted at West Ham on Saturday.

He has taken more shots per game than any other of Javi Gracia’s side this term, so he is their likeliest scorer.

Chelsea to win a penalty

Watford have conceded a penalty in two of their last five matches, and are a good bet to give away another here.

Christian Kabasele alone has conceded three spot-kicks this season, and his aggressive approach could spell danger with Eden Hazard, Pedro and Willian lurking.

Christian Kabasele to be carded

If the above occurs, this could follow.

Kabasele is the physically stronger of Watford’s two centre-backs, so expect him to be charged with stepping out and preventing the ball from getting into Eden Hazard. A treacherous task.

The Belgian has also been prone to recklessness recently. He committed two cynical fouls just outside the box at West Ham on Saturday, the second of which landed him with a booking, having also carelessly conceded the free-kick that led to Everton’s injury-time equaliser against the Hornets a fortnight ago.

He has been sent off twice already this season, both for conceding penalties.

Jorginho to be carded

Jorginho has been carded in four of his last seven appearances for club and country, so he is an obvious candidate to pick up another here.

The Italian can find himself isolated at the base of Chelsea’s midfield, an area that Watford’s strong midfield pairing of Etienne Capoue and Abdoulaye Doucoure are sure to target.

He ranks second for tackles and sixth for fouls per game of Chelsea players likely to be available here.
