Chelsea to win

Chelsea have drawn their last two league games, but will surely take all three points on Sunday.

Southampton are yet to win at home this season and have lost their last six meetings with the Blues.

Olivier Giroud to score

Giroud has scored eight goals in 12 appearances against Southampton – his joint-best haul against any team in England.

Three of those have come since signing for Chelsea, including a brace at St Mary’s towards the end of last season.

Under 1.5 Chelsea cards

Chelsea have the Premier League’s joint-best disciplinary record with five yellows in seven matches.

Three of those have come away from home, but never at a rate of more than one per match.

Oriol Romeu to be carded

Romeu hasn’t been first choice of late but, as against Liverpool, will likely be drafted in to try and stifle a superior side.

The Spaniard was the most-booked player in the top flight last season and has had his name taken in four of his seven appearances against Chelsea.

Under 4.5 Southampton corners

Only one team (Bournemouth) have managed to rack up more than four corners against Chelsea this season.

That’s unlikely to change on Sunday, given Southampton only managed one in their last home game against Brighton.
