Here are Tom Clee's football betting tips for Southampton v Brighton.
Draw and BTTS
Only Southampton drew more matches than Brighton last season, with both matches between the two sides finishing 1-1.
The Saints had the division’s second-worst home record – only keeping clean sheets against the three teams that went down – while Brighton were the worst on the road.
Neither side seem to have addressed those bad habits just yet, so this one screams stalemate.
Glenn Murray to score
If Brighton are to score, there’s only one person to back.
Glenn Murray netted half of Brighton’s away goals last season, and has already got three in four matches this time around.
He’s also taken penalty duty off Pascal Gross, which is a bonus.
Wesley Hoedt to be carded
Hoedt was Southampton’s second-most carded player last season behind the Premier League’s biggest bad boy Oriol Romeu.
Two of his yellows came against Brighton and, locked in another tussle with the wily Murray, he’s a good bet to have his name taken once again.
Over 7.5 Southampton corners
Southampton have racked up 19 corners in two matches at St Mary’s so far this season.
In a match where they ought to see plenty of the ball high up the pitch, that average shouldn’t fall too far on Monday.
