Here are five football tips that Adam Drury thinks you should consider for Aston Villa v Sheffield United on Wednesday evening.
Sheffield United to win & under 3.5 goals
Sheffield United’s defensive record this season has been impeccable. They hadn’t conceded more than one goal in any of their seven league matches before the season was paused, while only Liverpool have shipped fewer overall.
Villa were in dreadful nick back in March, losing five consecutive matches.
John McGinn to be carded
McGinn should make a difference to Villa after returning from injury, but he is also good for a card.
The Scot was booked four times for club and country before his season was seemingly ended in December, having picked up 14 yellows last term.
Oliver Norwood to be carded
Jack Grealish is by far the most fouled player in the Premier League, with an opposition midfielder picking up a card in five of their last seven games.
In the likely absence of John Fleck, Norwood looks a nice bet to oblige here.
Sheffield United (+1) to have most corners
Sheffield United have won 5.93 corners per game this season, with Villa down on 5.07.
Though those numbers change when you look at Villa’s home record and United’s away record in isolation, doubts over what home advantage really means behind closed doors mean it’s worth backing the visitors.
