Chelsea to win 2-0 or 3-0

Chelsea have not won in their last five visits to St James’ Park, but that anomaly should end this weekend.

The Blues have started well under Maurizo Sarri, beating Huddersfield and Arsenal 3-0 and 3-2 respectively, and should record a comfortable win here.

Newcastle look like relegation fodder after losing at home to Tottenham and drawing 0-0 at Cardiff.

Alvaro Morata to score

Morata is an erratic finisher, but he does score in clusters.

The Spaniard scored in back-to-back matches five times last season, and is poised to do so again this weekend after opening his account for this campaign against Arsenal last weekend.

Pedro to score

Pedro has been a reliable scorer throughout his career and is thriving under a manager who wants his side to play fluent, attacking football.

The Spanish forward has two goals in as many games this season and there’s every chance that run will continue against Newcastle.

No Chelsea bookings

No Chelsea player was carded in their opening-day win at Huddersfield, while David Luiz was the only one to be booked in last weekend’s London derby against Arsenal.

The Brazilian defender isn’t the most reliable, but I can’t see him being troubled by Newcastle’s limited frontline.
