Here are Tom Bowles' football tips for Man Utd v Man City on Tuesday.

Half-time/full-time: Man City/Man City

City have won their last 10 Premier League matches, and they should make it 11 against United, who have lost six of their last eight in all competitions and produced one of the worst performances of the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era in the 4-0 defeat at Everton on Sunday.

Having led at half-time in seven of those 10 victories, there’s value in backing Pep Guardiola’s side to do so again here.

Raheem Sterling to score

Sterling has never scored at Old Trafford, but I fancy that to change on Wednesday. The forward didn’t score against Tottenham on Saturday, but he did net braces in his two previous matches, against Spurs in the Champions League and Crystal Palace.

Luke Shaw to be booked

Shaw is back after missing United’s last three matches (two in the Premier League, one in the Champions League) due to suspension. He has been booked 13 times in all competitions this season, including 10 in the league.

Fernandinho to be booked

Fernandinho has been out of City’s team of late, but he is likely to start in the absence of the injured Kevin De Bruyne and revels in committing tactical fouls.

The Brazilian’s nine bookings are the most of any City player this season, with eight of those coming away from home.  media
