Here are Tom Clee's football betting tips for Arsenal v Manchester City.
Manchester City to win
City didn’t drop an away point in the league until New Year’s Eve last season, and also won four of their five visits to top-six rivals.
They looked ominously good in the Community Shield last week, and should get off to a winning start against a side they beat three times last season by an aggregate score of 9-1.
Over 3.5 goals
Half of City’s league games last season featured over 3.5 goals, the most in the division, while Arsenal had the second-highest ratio with 42 per cent.
It wouldn’t be a surprise if, in their first game back, the scoreline had a bit of a pre-season friendly feel.
Bernardo Silva to score
Silva was superb against Chelsea last weekend, where he an provided an assist, and also scored a brace in City’s final friendly against Bayern Munich.
He looks sure to start at the Emirates, where he scored one of his nine goals in all competitions last season.
Granit Xhaka to be carded
Only Oriol Romeu received more yellow cards than Granit Xhaka in the Premier League last season, with five of his 10 coming against top-six rivals.
Against the tricksiest team in the league, and with something to prove to his new manager, he’s the player most likely to end up in the referee’s book.
