Draw -

The three previous Premier League encounters between Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have all ended in draws.

Don’t be surprised if the same happens on Saturday, even though Liverpool play more attractive football than United and are in better form.

Jose Mourinho has lost just two of his 51 matches in charge at Old Trafford – both to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City – and would gleefully take a point here.

Romelu Lukaku to score -

Lukaku has scored two important equalisers for United in as many games, following his goal against Chelsea two weeks ago with a well-taken strike against Crystal Palace on Monday.

The Belgian striker has netted eight times in his last 11 appearances, including four in his last four at Old Trafford.

Mohamed Salah to score -

Excluding his 15-minute cameo against Porto in midweek, Salah has scored in each of his previous seven matches in all competitions, netting eight times in total.

The Egyptian forward is clutch, having found the net in both Liverpool’s matches against Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester City, as well as their one game against Chelsea.

Ashley Young to be booked

Young has not played well since before Christmas, but he retains the trust of Mourinho and is a certain starter in this game, either at left-back or on the wing.

His poor form, plus his readiness to make a cynical challenge if necessary, makes him a likely candidate to be shown a card.

Young was booked at Crystal Palace on Monday, and has received yellows in matches against Liverpool, Man City and Spurs already this season.
