Liverpool to win and BTTS

Liverpool’s defence has improved enormously since the arrival of Virgil van Dijk, though there’s still a clear difference in their record at home and away.

The Reds have kept clean sheets in all of their last six league games at Anfield, compared to just one in their final five trips last season.

That run includes their most recent trip to Selhurst Park – the fifth time in a row that both teams have scored in this fixture and the third on the spin that Liverpool have won.

Sadio Mane to score

Mane got off to a flyer last weekend with a brace against West Ham.

He scored in all of Liverpool’s league games last August, and is a great bet to extend his early-season form against the team that he’s scored more Premier League goals against than any other.

Wilfried Zaha to score

If Palace are to find the net, then Zaha is the most obvious candidate to do so.

He scored with a smart finish in his new central role against Fulham on the opening weekend, and also signed off last season with four goals in his final three home games.

Patrick van Aanholt to be carded

Van Aanholt was Palace’s second-most booked player last season with seven yellow cards, one of which came against Liverpool in the second match of the campaign.

Tasked with keeping the Reds’ wide forwards and attacking full-backs under control, it would be no surprise should history repeat itself.
