Mythbusters: 4 double-chance football tips for Saturday
Adam Drury is backing these four favourites to slip up this weekend in his football tips. If you fancy them all, back the 13/1 four-fold.
Had you placed a £10 stake on each of Adam Drury's Mythbusters football betting tips for the 2018/19 season, your profit would be:
Switzerland not to beat Georgia
Georgia have won six consecutive home matches and, even though they were all against inferior opposition to Switzerland, that record has to carry some weight here.
The hosts have lost just one of their last 12 home matches overall, and they take on a Switzerland side missing their best player, Xherdan Shaqiri.
The Liverpool midfielder is central to all of his side’s best performances, so the Swiss are likely to struggle for creativity against a confident side.
Peterborough not to beat Southend
It was decided that Chris Powell would stay on as Southend manager after a showdown between club officials and players last week, so they could be rejuvenated for their trip to Peterborough.
This tip is really all about Posh, though. They signed manager Darren Ferguson to a long-term contract this week, despite winning just two of nine matches under him so far.
That run includes a sequence of three defeats from four at London Road, while they have lost their last three overall.
They rank in the bottom seven for shots on target this season and are second for shots on target conceded.
Lincoln not to beat Crawley
Lincoln have won just three of their last eight matches, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if they endure a difficult afternoon at Crawley.
Danny Cowley’s side have only kept clean sheets at bottom-six clubs in their last 10 matches away from home.
Crawley’s home form is good. They have lost just two of their last seven at the Broadfield Stadium, including a respectable 0-0 draw with Lincoln’s promotion rivals Mansfield last time out.
Swindon not to beat Morecambe
Swindon have hit a wall in March, taking just one point and scoring one goal from their last three games.
Their most recent result was a 0-0 draw with lowly Port Vale, so the visit of Morecambe, who are decent on the road, is not ideal.
The Shrimps have only lost one of their last seven away games and have also thrashed Forest Green and MK Dons inside the last month.
