Mythbusters: 4 double-chance football tips for Saturday
Adam Drury is backing these four favourites to slip up this weekend in his football tips. If you fancy them all, back the 9/1 four-fold.
Had you placed a £10 stake on each of Adam Drury's Mythbusters football betting tips for the 2018/19 season, your profit would be:
Hoffenheim not to beat Stuttgart (14:30)
Hoffenheim’s defensive record is so poor that they have won just one of their last nine away games, despite scoring in all of them.
The eight-placed side have conceded at least two goals in seven of those matches.
Sixteenth-placed Stuttgart in good form. They were level with Borussia Dortmund with just six minutes remaining last week, before eventually losing 3-1, while they won their last home game 5-1 against Hannover.
Wolfsburg not to beat Fortuna Dusseldorf (14:30)
Wolfsburg have won just three of their last 11 home matches, with their stats suggesting they have been lucky to win that many.
They are second-bottom for xPoints at home in the Bundesliga this season. They have had the sixth-fewest shots on target per home match, and have conceded the second-most.
Dusseldorf have taken at least a point at Leipzig, Bayern Munich and Hoffenheim this season, so they are worth backing to get something here.
Southend not to beat AFC Wimbledon (15:00)
Southend are sliding towards the League One relegation zone after failing to win for the ninth consecutive match in their 4-1 defeat at Scunthorpe on Tuesday.
That run for the injury-hit Shrimpers includes one draw and five defeats from their last six at Roots Hall, while they have conceded 16 goals in their last six overall.
AFC Wimbledon look like they could stay up after earning seven points from their last three, keeping a clean sheet in all of them. They have not lost a match against a bottom-half side since November, a run of seven matches.
Atletico Madrid not to beat Bilbao (15:15)
Atletico were tepid in their 3-0 defeat at Juventus on Tuesday, a familiar trait of their away performances this season.
Diego Simeone’s side have won just seven of their 19 matches on the road in all competitions this season, including four of their last 11. Of their 10 La Liga away matches against teams outside the relegation zone, they have won just two.
That should offer plenty of encouragement for Athletic Bilbao, who are unbeaten in nine La Liga home matches, including a win against Sevilla and draw with Barcelona.
