Mythbusters: 4 double-chance football tips for Saturday
Adam Drury is backing four favourites to slip up this weekend in his football tips. If you fancy them all, back the 37/1 four-fold.
Had you placed a £10 stake on each of Adam Drury's Mythbusters football betting tips for the 2018/19 season, your profit would be:
Levante not to beat Rayo Vallecano (12:00)
Levante had failed to win six consecutive home matches before beating Real Betis 4-0 last week.
Paco Lopez’s side rank bottom for xPoints at home in La Liga this season, and have conceded more shots than any other side on their own patch.
Vallecano beat Real Madrid on Sunday, and won the reverse fixture between these sides in December.
Luton not to beat Oxford (17:30)
Luton’s preparations for this match are unlikely to be thorough, after results elsewhere secured their promotion to the Championship on Tuesday evening.
Regardless of their focus, a run of two wins from six home games suggests that the Hatters are not in the best form.
Oxford can spring a surprise having won six and drawn three of their last nine matches.
Portsmouth not to beat Accrington (17:30)
Portsmouth’s demoralising 3-2 home defeat to Peterborough on Tuesday means they have nothing to play for on Saturday after having to settle for a play-off spot.
By contrast, Accrington will be eager to round off a successful debut season in League One with a third consecutive victory.
John Coleman’s side have avoided defeat in three of their last four away games, including an impressive 2-1 win at sixth-placed Doncaster last week.
Celta Vigo not to beat Barcelona (19:45)
Barcelona are surprisingly big underdogs here, presumably on the basis that they will rest their entire first XI between legs of their Champions League semi-final against Liverpool.
Ernesto Valverde’s side drew 0-0 at Huesca when he did the same between ties against Manchester United, while a side that did not include either Sergio Busquets or Lionel Messi from the start overcame Levante on Saturday.
They have to be backed to avoid defeat at Celta Vigo, who have only won three of their nine home matches against top-half sides this season.
