Manchester United not to beat Wolves (15:00)

Wolves battered Burnley last Sunday, with the 1-0 scoreline flattering their visitors.

Nuno Santo’s side combine effective defending with fluent passing combinations in attack. It is that range of attributes that allowed them to hold Manchester City to a 1-1 draw last month, before outplaying West Ham and the Clarets.

Manchester United have not impressed at Old Trafford yet this season. Having scraped past Leicester and lost 3-0 to Tottenham, they can be seriously troubled by Wolves.

Aston Villa not to beat Sheffield Wednesday {15:00)

Aston Villa were winless in five before labouring past Rotherham on Tuesday, with manager Steve Bruce under increasing pressure.

Seven of the club’s staff were reportedly sacked on Wednesday morning, with the club’s new owners “moving in a new direction”. That can hardly be good news for Bruce.

Sheffield Wednesday are a good bet to take advantage of the uncertainty. The Owls were unbeaten in five before their 2-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest on Wednesday, scoring twice in all of the last four.

Fiorentina not to beat SPAL (17:00)

SPAL have been the story of Serie A this season, with their 2-0 win over Atalanta last Monday their third in four matches so far.

Crucially, Leonardo Semplici’s side have conceded just one goal in all competitions this term, which gives them every chance of holding Fiorentina on Saturday.

The hosts have managed just two goals in their last three games, and could struggle to create enough chances to win against stubborn opponents.

Atletico Madrid not to beat Getafe (17:30)

Atletico Madrid are not prolific scorers at the best of times, so a bad start to the season defensively can be blamed for a failure to win three of their four league matches so far.

Diego Simeone’s side have uncharacteristically conceded once to Eibar and twice to Celta Vigo in their last two league matches, while they also drew 1-1 at Valencia on the opening weekend of the season.

Should they fail to create much against Getafe, who have kept three consecutive clean sheets, then their wavering defence could cost them again.

The hosts lost at Real Madrid on the opening weekend, but have since taken seven points from three games, including a 2-0 win at Sevilla last week.
