SATURDAY

1. Bournemouth to beat Burnley (15:00)

Bournemouth’s 4-2 win over Leicester last weekend made it three wins and a draw from their opening five matches – their best-ever start to a Premier League season.

It should get even better for the Cherries against their out-of-form visitors on Saturday.

Burnley are bottom of the league with one point, having lost four in a row since their opening-day 0-0 draw at Southampton.

2. Manchester United not to beat Wolves (15:00)

Wolves battered Burnley last Sunday, with the 1-0 scoreline flattering their visitors.

Nuno Santo’s side combine effective defending with fluent passing combinations in attack. It is that range of attributes that allowed them to hold Manchester City to a 1-1 draw last month, before outplaying West Ham and the Clarets.

Manchester United have not impressed at Old Trafford yet this season. Having scraped past Leicester and lost 3-0 to Tottenham, Jose Mourinho’s side can be seriously troubled by Wolves.

3. Peterborough to beat Gillingham (15:00)

Peterborough lost their first league game of the season last weekend, but have still won six out of eight and dropped just four points so far in League One.

Posh are the equal-top scorers in the EFL, having netted 20 goals in just eight league games.

They should comfortably beat a Gillingham side that have lost six of their last seven matches in all competitions and have conceded three or more in three of their last six.

4. Scunthorpe v Shrewsbury BTTS (15:00)

Scunthorpe’s last four league matches have finished 2-2, 1-1, 3-3 and 2-3, with the 3-0 and 5-0 defeats that preceded that run confirming them as the worst defensive side in League One so far this season.

That is good news for Shrewsbury, who have scored in three of their four away matches so far this season and fired the sixth-most shots of any League One side overall.

Given that the hosts have scored nine goals in their last four home games, this is an unmissable price for both teams to hit the net on Saturday.

5. Byron Moore (Bury) to score v Carlisle (15:00)

Moore was included in the League Two Team of the Week after netting a brace in his first start of the season in Bury’s 2-1 win at Swindon last week.

Given that his in-form side have scored seven goals in their last two home matches and 11 in four in the league overall, this is an unbelievable price for the striker to net against Carlisle.

Saturday’s visitors lost 2-0 at home to Tranmere last week, while only four teams have conceded more shots on goal in League Two.

6. Brighton to win or draw and BTTS {ODDS: 314062983:11/5}

Brighton have only lost one of their last nine league games at the Amex, with both teams scoring in seven.

That run includes victories over Arsenal, Manchester United (twice) and a draw with Tottenham at the end of last season, so there’s no reason to think the Seagulls won’t take something on Saturday, even ignoring Spurs’ recent run of three consecutive defeats.

SUNDAY

New England Revolution to beat Chicago Fire (00:30)

Chicago Fire are bottom of the 10-game form table in the MLS, having lost eight league games.

They have lost each of their last six away games in all competitions, so I’m happy to get against them again this weekend.

New England are unbeaten in three and should ease through this.

8. PSV v Ajax BTTS (15:45)

Goals are guaranteed in De Topper this weekend.

PSV have won five of five in the Eredivisie this season, scoring 21 goals in the process, including 13 in their last two.

Ajax have been almost as prolific, notching 14 in their five matches, 12 of which came in their last three.

9. RB Salzburg to beat Rapid Vienna (16:00)

Salzburg bagged a last-minute winner against Leipzig in the Europa League on Thursday to make it 11 victories and two draws from their 13 matches in all competitions this season.

The Red Bulls are already five points clear at the top of the Austrian Bundesliga, with seven wins from their opening seven matches.

Rapid Vienna have won just one of their last six league games and have lost seven of their last eight meetings with Salzburg over the last two seasons.

10. Memphis Depay (Lyon) to score v Marseille (20:00)

In what will an open, entertaining game, chances are bound to come along for Depay to double his Ligue 1 tally for the season.

The Dutchman netted against Amiens on the opening weekend of the season and scored a brace for his national team against Peru in the recent international break. He also hit the post in Wednesday’s impressive 2-1 win at Manchester City.
