Sunday Betting Guide: Our writers' 5 best football tips
We've compiled our writers’ best football tips, including win/draw/win and BTTS, into one bite-size betting preview for Sunday's internationals.
Denmark to beat Georgia & BTTS (17:00)
Denmark thumped Georgia 5-1 at home when these sides last met in June and come into this game having beaten Gibraltar 6-0 on Thursday.
They have netted 17 goals in their last five matches, while Thursday’s game was the first time BTTS has not landed in five.
Georgia have scored in eight of their last nine home games, so they should also do their bit.
Romania (-3) to beat Malta (17:00)
Romania put in a decent performance in their 2-1 loss to Spain on Thursday – their first home defeat in nearly two years – and were a stoppage-time sitter away from earning a point.
They had won five of their previous seven matches at the Arena Nationala and have an excellent chance to bounce back convincingly.
Malta were beaten 4-0 at home in the reverse fixture in June and have lost 11 of their last 13 away games.
Switzerland (-5) to beat Gibraltar (17:00)
Gibraltar lost 6-0 at home to Denmark on Thursday evening and are in line for another pasting on Sunday.
They have conceded six or more in goals in 10 of their last 24 qualifiers and have failed to score in 13 of their last 16 on the road.
Switzerland have beaten both Panama and Iceland 6-0 in their last eight home games and are capable of similar result against a significantly worse side.
Greece to beat Liechtenstein to nil (19:45)
These are much shorter odds than I like to tip, but you can at least count on this as a banker.
Greece are mediocre, but this is all about Liechtenstein. The visitors have lost all of their Euro 2020 qualifiers to nil, including a 2-0 defeat in the reverse fixture against Greece.
A repeat scoreline could be a nice bet at , while 3-0 is available at .
BTTS in Sweden v Norway (19:45)
Sweden have scored 10 goals in five home matches since the World Cup, with BTTS landing in three of them.
Janne Andersson’s side also drew 3-3 in the reverse fixture against Norway in March.
Sunday’s visitors have scored at least twice in five of their last six matches, with the exception a 2-1 defeat away to Spain.
